Hints
Gold Star medal
Kill over 95% of the enemies and have over 75% health
remaining at the end of a level to earn a gold medal.
Silver Star medal
Kill over 95% of the enemies to earn a silver medal
for that level.
Bronze Star medal
Successfully complete any level to earn a bronze medal
for it.
Translation
Enter the options menu and turn on the subtitles. This
will allow you to know what the Germans are saying.
A Chance Meeting: Falling objects
When you enter the main U-boat facility and start to
fight your way towards the docks, you will encounter several train
cars. One of these cars has a mounted MG-44. Hit the switch on
the other side of the car and it will roll until the gun is pointing
through a doorway leading into an open area between the dockyard
buildings. Use the gun to clear out the enemy. When done, proceed
forward until you find more Nazis. One of them will shoot at you
with another machine gun mounted on a sandbagged position. Behind
that are a truck full of torpedoes and a crane that is holding
several crates aloft. Use your Springfield sniper rifle and shoot
the rope. The crates will fall on the truck, causing it to explode
and kill the sniper on the crane and any nearby Nazis.
A Chance Meeting: Items
Look in a train car in the area near the beginning
to find some ammunition and a field surgeon pack. Look around
the trucks in the next area to find more ammunition and another
field surgeon pack.
A Chance Meeting: Clearing Nazis
near trucks
Pull the lever on the other side of the train. The
machine gun will roll near a crate and you can use it to clear
out most of the Nazis in the area with the trucks
A Chance Meeting: Nazis: Disguise
If your disguise is blown without entering the train
station in on track, all the Nazis outside will fire on you. After
you killed the guards at the front door, it will open and you
can go inside to kill the rest of the Nazis. If you chose not
to go in the uniform you stole, the man will run outside in his
underwear and start shooting you. After that, you can kill him
A Chance Meeting: Use a submarine
gun
When you are near the end of the mission, you can use
a submarine gun. When your at the last submarine, first kill all
of the Nazis that are on it. Next, walk aboard the submarine and
go up to the gun. Press [Action] to take control of the gun.
A message will appear at the top of the screen when you get close
enough.
Clipping Their Wings: Secret area
In the stage where you take pictures of the blueprints
of the OH-IX, go to the area where there is a test engine that
you have to destroy by pumping up the pressure level. Once the
engine blows up the wall, shoot the two or three Nazis. You will
enter a corridor or hallway where you will see boxes and Nazis
shooting at you. Go straight to the end of that hallway. You will
see a green door at the end, but do not make any turns yet. By
that door, there is a lamp directly above you. Turn left to that
little hall where you will see a box and another green door. Next,
face back again to the opposite direction, where you will be facing
a wall where the lamp mentioned before is. Walk straight into
that wall to enter to a secret passage where you can see the rest
of the stage. Its a 3D design of the stage. You can see the place
where the "lava" is located, and can even see the end
of that stage with the medical supplies, bazooka, rifle, and more.
Feel free to explore, but you cannot walk top far because the
walls will stop you.
Clipping Their Wings: Waving Nazi
When you create the "accident" in the wind
tunnel, look at the scientist on the far right. Just as the wind
generator turns on, the scientist will look at you and wave good-bye.
A Storm In The Port: Flying feathers
Go to the end of the "Special Cargo" level.
Kill all the Nazis there. Then, go to their beds. Shoot the pillows
and you will see feathers flying.
Derailed: Secret passage
As you start the mission, go to your right and you
will see a dirt road. Go slow because of a Nazi that is sitting
down, waiting. You see something in the mountain. Go to the door
but do not open it. Get ready to shoot -- there are three Nazis
inside. Mow them down and grab the MG-42. Then, wipe out the remaining
Nazis below.
The Golden Lion: Nazi fight
After you go into the pub and tip the piano player,
he will play a song and distract the guards to the stairs leading
up to the balcony. There will be two men at the top, and down
the stairs at the bottom will be two more men. To the right of
the men on the top, there will be three beer mugs. Go over to
them and press [Action]. You will tip the mugs one by one
off the balcony onto the table of the men on the bottom. They
will argue each time you tip one. After the third beer mug is
tipped, the man on the top will jump down and they will start
punching each other. It will slow, but after about ten to twenty
seconds, one of the men will tackle the other one and punch him
in the face while he is on the ground. After the man is pinned
down and beat up, you may as well end the mission because this
will continue until you do so. Note: To see what the Nazis are
saying when they are arguing, turn on the subtitles.
The Golden Lion: Man hits bar counter
Enter in the bar and go to where there are two men
in front of the stairs. Go straight as far as you can, then turn
right. You will see two men talking, one with a glass of beer.
Press [X] button while looking at them. The one with the
beer will hit it the big counter with his hand every time you
press [X].
Ground Zero: Me 262
When you start, take out your bazooka and go to the
right. Blast the door with a group of Nazis and continue . Go
left and through that little hallway to see three Nazis working
on a Me 262.
Needle In A Haystack: Hanging man
There is an area where you must defend Barnes as he
takes out tanks. At the beginning, you should hear someone call
for help, then a gunshot. Aim and zoom into the windmill to see
the man hanging by a rope.
Nijmegen Bridge: Destroy the AA gun
At the end of the level, you will see a red barrel
with a white rag sticking out of it that must be destroyed. Use
the following trick instead of shooting the barrel or tossing
a grenade to detonate it. Approach the side of the barrel with
the rag. You should see the message "Press Action to ignite
the rag" appear at the top of the screen. Do so, and you
will hear the sound of Jimmy lighting a lighter and touching it
to the rag. Immediately back away and wait. After a few seconds,
the barrel will explode and the anti-aircraft gun will be destroyed
without wasting any ammunition.
Nijmegen Bridge: Suicidal Nazi
When instructed climb up the ladder to top of bridge,
do so. Note: Enable the "Invincibility" or "Bullet
shield mode" codes to make this easier. When you reach the
top of the ladder, a Nazi will be directly in front of you. He
will aim his gun at you and begin to shake. Do not shoot him or
any other Nazis. Wait for a moment, and he will stand up, grab
his helmet, and jump off the top of the bridge screaming.
Nijmegen Bridge: Nazi helper
Go up the ladder that leads to the top of the bridge.
There should be two Nazis there; one directly in front of you,
and one to the left. The one to the left gets scared and falls
off of the bridge. The one in front of you will shake. If you
walk up behind him, he will grab his rifle and start sniping the
Nazis below him on the bridge. Shoot all other Nazis in the area.
Nijmegen Bridge: Snagged Nazis
Proceed with the mission until you come up from under
the bridge the first time. Kill the three Nazis waiting for their
relief. Keep walking about 10 feet, take out your sniper rifle,
and zoom in as much as you can on the upper part of the bridge.
You should see some men crouching. If you are lucky, you can see
their shots as they are fired, which gives them away easier. Shoot
the Nazis and they will fall and get snagged on some wires on
the bridge. They will try to get up, fail, and die.
Omaha Beach: Saving your men
When you get out of the water, quickly get to an obstacle,
then find the Higgins Boat where your lieutenant is located. Saving
your men is difficult because cannot see very far. The will not
wave at you unless you are close to them. Once you run up and
down the beach a few times, you will hear them over the noise.
On Track: UFO
When you get outdoors next to Sturmgeist's train, look
up and to the right. You will see a UFO flying in the air. If
you look closely, it has the Nazi markings and colors.
On Track: Jimmy Patterson poster
When you get to the entrance to the train station,
stop and look on the left side of the entrance door. There will
be a wanted poster of Jimmy Patterson with a picture. It even
has a reward in German.
On Track: Drunk Nazi
You will find a bar just before the first trains. The
first person you should see is a Nazi with a mug walking around
the room. Do not shoot him. Shoot the others with guns. After
you kill the ones with guns, you can see the drunk Nazi lie down
and go to sleep on the floor, using his mug as a pillow.
Operation Repunzel: Easy completion
You can get through a lot of this mission by just walking
around. In the beginning, do not pull out your gun. Go to the
Nazi that blows your disguise. Sometimes you can just walk past
him. The farthest you can get is to the courtyard where a group
of Nazis are on patrol on the stairs. It is just before the room
where you find the map. If this does not work the first time,
try again. You must avoid being seen by the cook. He will remember
you from the submarine mission. To do this easily, crouch on that
ramp you were ascending to the kitchen, then go to the right of
the table. When you reach the stove, stand up and jump over to
the table to reach the door to the next room.
Operation Repunzel: Suicidal Nazi
There is a Nazi soldier practicing a speech in a hall
where you find the map behind the painting. Instead of going around
on the top, go downstairs and run up to him. He will automatically
fall back and die without a single shot. The only downside is
that you cannot get a gold star for this mission if this is done.
Operation Repunzel: Extra health
After you kill all the waiters and the cook, look around
and run to the bread. Jimmy will say that its yummy , and your
health will rise more than a medical canteen.
Operation Repunzel: Speech practice
You will encounter a man practicing his speech in a
large hall inside the building where they are preparing to have
a Nazi Rally. Instead of walking up to him, stay on the balcony
and go across the walkway connecting the two sides of the room.
He will see you and tell you to stop. He will then pick up the
rocket launcher next to the podium and fire it at you. It will
hit the walkway and blow it in half, forming a ramp from the ground
floor to the upper level.
Operation Repunzel: Chandelier kill
You can shoot the chandeliers that are around in some
of the rooms of the Nazi building. They will kill anyone underneath,
including you.
Riding Out The Storm: Destroying
train
When you climb into the gun turrets on the train to
shoot at the other train cars, etc.; aim for the very front of
the opposite train. You can destroy it with one shot.
Rough Landing: Sniping Nazis
After Barnes blows up the tank that is inside a barn,
you will get to a mill where you will find a sniper. Kill him,
then get up to the mill. Snipe the large group of Nazis that will
appear in the distance, as if they were following you.
Rough Landing: Stop tank guns
You can jump on the tanks to stop the guns from turning.
You must kill the infantry first so that Barnes can come up and
jump on the treads of the tank. The barrel will move and stop,
but you will still hear the grinding of the turret. When Barnes
plants the charge, run away and it will explode.
Rough Landing: Ending the mission
When you are at the part where you must get the town's
attention, walk over to the big pile of hay. Press [X] and
the hay will burn up. It will burn the windmill and the Nazi's
will appear and shoot at you.
Rough Landing: Save teammate
Enable the "Unlimited ammunition", "Rubber
grenade mode", and "Snipe-O-Rama" codes. Start
the Long Shot mission. When you start look to your right and you
see a skinny tree (first tree on your right around the corner),
stand next to it. Get your grenades and zoom in the far way trees
where the Nazi that kills your friend is located. When you find
him, throw as many grenades as you can until you see him get thrown
from his spot and yells. You have now saved your friend from hanging
on the windmill. This does not affect the mission. To see this
more clearly, also enable the "Mohton Torpedoes" code.
Seaside Stowaway: Breach wall to
the docks
You will see a red barrel with a white rag sticking
out of it that must be destroyed. Use the following trick instead
of shooting the barrel or tossing a grenade to detonate it. Approach
the side of the barrel with the rag. You should see the message
"Press Action to ignite the rag" appear at the top of
the screen. Do so, and you will hear the sound of Jimmy lighting
a lighter and touching it to the rag. Immediately back away and
wait. After a few seconds, the barrel will explode and the dock
wall will be breached without wasting any ammunition.
Seaside Stowaway: Explosive rag
When you reach to the part where you breach the wall,
shoot the cans, but do not ignite the rag. After the smoke clears
up from the explosion, go where the rag was located. A message
that reads "Press Action to ignite rag" will appear.
Ignite the rag, back up, and in a few seconds the rag will explode.
Seaside Stowaway: Attract Nazis
Enable the "Unlimited ammunition" code. At
the very end of the level, stop next to the truck which is next
to the box that you get in Then, pull out your Colt .45 and shoot
the glass on the lighthouse many times (about fifty). If done
correctly, Nazis will come for you from other places in the level.
If not, you already killed them all.
Yard By Yard: Civilian backup
In one of the alleys, you will encounter an old women
just sitting in her backyard. Next door to her lives a young man
with glasses, lying on his lawn next to his shed. In his yard
is a ladder propped up on a couple of boxes. Use this ladder as
a ramp and walk across it. In this yard is a man with a helmet
standing next to his shed. Do not shoot him. Walk up closely to
him and he should have his arms raised, is clearly too old to
be in the military. Stare at him until he puts his arms down and
reaches into his shed window for a shotgun. Still, do not shoot
him. By this time a Nazi soldier will storm into the man's yard.
The old man will fire at him, killing him, and leave his yard
looking for more Nazis. For good measure, stand as close to him
as possible while he leaves his yard. He will give you a nudge
to go while he covers you.
In one of the houses is a civilian climbing in a ventilation shaft.
If you look up in time to see him, he will throw a box of grenades
down for you to use.
Go into the first yard on the right at the beginning of Sniper
Alley. Climb the ladder into the next yard and go around the shed.
A man will stop you, pull out a gun, open the gate, then kill
some Nazis. However, he will get shot from behind by another Nazi
and die.
Yard By Yard: Create hole
Shoot the dirt with a Panzerschreck and the man will
sink down into a hole.
Yard By Yard: Flush the toilet
At the beginning of the mission in the first house
you enter, go up the stairs to find a bathroom. Press [Action]
here and Jimmy will flush the toilet.
Yard By Yard: Dancing Nazis
In the second building that overlooks Checkpoint 2,
shoot the Nazi on the machine gun and quickly look down. The Nazis
down there will be dancing.
Yard By Yard: Nazi in the bathroom
Go into one of the houses. Go to the top floor and
barge into the bathroom. You should see a Nazi with his pants
pulled down on the toilet, with a German newspaper in his hand.
The paper has a picture of Pattersomn on the front page.
Your Finest Hour: Flipping soldier
After you take out the machine gun nests and eliminate
all the Nazis in the bunker, quickly get off the machine gun.
Go to the entrance of the bunker. You will see some allies running
towards you. Look at the one at the left. When the mine goes off,
you will see him fly into the air and do a flip.
Your Finest Hour: Rolling soldier
Get to the objective that instructs you to destroy
radio contact with bunkers. After you shoot the Nazi and the radio,
go back to the stairs. A Nazi will be looking down. Shoot him,
and he will roll down the stairs.
Your Finest Hour: Rescuing soldiers
After speaking to the captain, look around the beach
and you will notice four red flares. Go to them to find one of
the four soldiers that you must rescue. Each soldier is at each
flare.
Your Finest Hour: Soldiers' names
After your amphibious boat explodes, go to the shore
where you will see a few dead men. Zoom in on there chest and
you will see names such as Rus K (Risky) and others.
Your Finest Hour: Thompsons
Use this trick to get two Thompsons in the mission.
The first one is located where the man who was going to blow up
the fence is caught. The second has more ammunition. To find it,
go all the way to the left until you reach the end of the beach.
Then, go down to the shoreline. Search all around and you will
find it.
Use this trick to get three Thompsons in this mission. Do not
save any men before you do this. First, go down to the end of
the beach and go in the water. There will be a Thompson gun at
the west end of the beach. Then, go to the east end where the
man will be trapped after you save the soldiers. There should
be a Thompson gun here. Then, save the four men. Next, get the
man with the Bangalores down where he is trapped. There should
be a Thompson gun there.
Your Finest Hour: Bad luck demolition
expert
After you save the demolition expert with the bangalores
and he has blown the sea-wall, follow him. Keep watching him when
he still runs. He looks like he is holding a rifle. He should
hit a mine, then land on another mine after he falls from the
blast of the first one.
Your Finest Hour: Fish
In the first mission, Your Finest Hour, walk along
the beach and you will can little silver fish that have washed
up on shore.
Multi-player mode: Less damage when
firing machine gun
Before you press [Action] to take control of a
machine gun, crouch down and have the machine gun directly ahead
of you. You will still be crouched, will take less damage, and
can still operate the machine gun.
Restore health
In some levels, such as Yard To Yard, you can find
bread on tables that you can eat and get back a small amount of
health.
Shooting men behind corners
Throughout the game, there are men will hide behind
corners and jump out at you when you approach them. Usually, their
point-blank fire severely drains your health meter. A simple way
to avoid this is to look closely at the corner from a distance.
Nearly always, you will see a hand or foot. Shoot their visible
appendage and they should hop out from behind the corner, exposing
the rest of their body to your scope. Note: This may take a few
attempts to get the correct angle. Also, do not rush up to the
corner; wait, and another soldier could run around it, guns blazing.
Avoid damage from the cooks
In certain levels, there will be a Nazi cook that inflicts
a lot of damage by throwing knives at you. To avoid them, press
[L2] to go into a crouching position. While crouching, walk
directly at the cook until you are next to him. He will continue
to throw knifes over your head, making it an easy kill.
Suicide grenade
Use the classic control style then select the grenade.
You can blow yourself up by pressing [Square].
Huge explosion
Enable the "Rubber grenade mode" code. While
facing a Nazi head on, throw a grenade at him. Once he catches
it, throw a second grenade. Most likely, the Nazi will catch the
first one, but will be unable to grab the second. This will cause
the grenade to explode and perform an "illusion of disappearance"
most of the time.
Glitch: Glass ladder
In the last level (The Horten's Nest: Stealing the
Show), immediately before you steal the HO-IX, walk around to
the front of the plane and face the ladder. Take out any gun and
shoot the wooden part of the ladder (not between the steps). Glass
shards will fly out, as if the ladder were made of glass.
Glitch: Glass tree
Begin the Golden Lion level and walk straight from
where you start. There should be two Nazis by a machine gun/ Kill
them and the Nazis that are approaching. After you have killed
all the Nazis, press [Action] to grab and use the machine
gun. Turn the machine gun to the left, aiming at the tree that
is almost directly in front of you. Shoot the tree and glass will
pour out of it. It will also have glass bullet holes in it.
Glitch: Glass in midair
Start The Golden Lion level and go near the garage
called "Wagen Fuhrer". Near that garage is a sign with
a small arrow underneath reading "Van Uchelen Meubels".
Northeast of that sign is a green double door window. Shoot in
between the bottom corner of the green window and the top right
corner of the sign. There is invisible glass floating in midair
at that position, and when shot, will leave bullet marks. Note:
This trick only works at certain angles, which there are many.
You have to be to the right of the sign and the window for it
to work; or you can stand far away and use the sniper rifle to
hit it as long as you are on the right side.
Glitch Flying beer
Play the Golden Lion level until you get to where you
need to spill the beer. Press [X] twice to get rid of the
first two mugs, then keep pressing [X] to make the last mug
fly. Note: You can still win even though the beer goes far away.
Glitch: Trunkless tree
In the Nijmegen Bridge level, after you have finished
crossing the bridge and begin to go down the exit ramp, kill all
of the men at the bottom of the ramp. Start to head back up the
ramp and you will see that one of the trees on the side of the
road does not have a trunk. You can look from all different angles
but it is not there.
Glitch: Rising woman
When you get close to the end of the Needle In A Haystack
mission, you well see a large windmill that you are able to climb.
Climb it once using the ladder, then climb down. After killing
all the Nazis, there should be a farm woman standing in front
of the windmill. Shoot her a few times. When you get her backed
up against the windmill, throw a grenade at her. She will fly
up to the ledge and appear as if she is in an elevator.
Glitch: Floating man
When you first start the Nijmegen Bridge mission, shoot
the man who tells you all the information that you need with your
Thompson machine gun. He will scoot back and float in the air.
Keep shooting and he will go even further.
Glitch: Teammate in midair
At the start of the Nijmegen Bridge level you start
being on stairs with a teammate at your side. After he is finished
talking to you, shoot him or use a melee attack and he will fall
backwards. Keep shooting him and he will keep falling backwards,
not down the stairs, but in midair. Note: This glitch does not
happen all the time. If it does not, restart the mission and try
again.
Glitch: Dead man talking
Play the Nijmegen Bridge level at the part where you
kill all the people as you get sniped out by the people in the
rafters. Enable the "Silver bullet mode" and "Bullet
shield" codes and climb the ladder. Kill everyone up there.
As you climb down. look at the may laying at the bottom of the
ladder. He looks dead but zoom in on his face with the sniper.
He blinks, moves his lips, but cannot die.
Glitch: Falling Nazi
Play the Derailed level. When you ride the second train,
a Nazi will be on a crane. Shoot him and when you get off, go
to the alley that goes in the direction of the crane. You will
see the Nazi stuck in the tree, flailing. You can shoot him, but
he will not die.
Glitch: Crazy drunk
Play the Operation Repunzel level. Enable the "Unlimited
ammunition" code. Go to the room with the bar. You will see
a drunk man. Throw a grenade at him. He will start to die. Throw
another one. He will get up, then begin to die again. You can
do this repeatedly until you run out of grenades.
Glitch: Disappearing buildings
In the Arnhem Knights level, go by the Ariaantje Juweliers
sign. There is a light brick wall at that location. Go through
the wall and you will see that the buildings disappear. Note:
You have to be on the other side of the rubble, and if you go
further down the alley you will find the same glitch.
Glitch: Light a fire in mid-air
Instead of lighting the rags, on the red barrels shoot
them. Then walk up to where the barrel was. You should have the
writing on the top that instructs you to "Press Action to
ignite the rag". Press [Action] and a fire will start
in mid-air.
Glitch: Open chests through wall
On the final mission in Clipping Their Wings where
you are required to take pictures of the blueprints, there is
a sleeping area. On the side of the room where you find the spy
camera, check in between the bunks to find chests that can be
opened, although they are on the other side of the wall. You will
find canteens inside.
