Easy money
After successfully completing chapter 1, return to
the training area (the first mission) and complete training again.
Almost every time, you will get between 300 to 500 experience
points, and between 300 and 600 gold.
Go to the gambling fight with the bonus for each hit landed on
the opponent.
Go to the level where you must face four people and get a bonus.
This will be stated at the top where the article is located. Land
as many hits as possible (Talim is recommended). You will receive
about 28,000 gold.
In weapon master mode, go to chapter 9 (Algol). In the second
stage is a tournament where you can get a bonus of 1,000 to 2,000
gold per hit. You will fight three to five enemies. By the time
you win, you will gain between 20,000 to 35,000 gold. You can
keep repeating this strategy until you get the desired amount
of goal. This is best done the first time you play, as it will
get increasingly difficult in the later times that you play.
Choose Cervantes as your character. Then, go to the extra chapter
where you can buy complete Soul Edge weapons. Go to the last level
in that chapter, the dungeon. When you start the fight, keep doing
Cervantes' Charge move followed by Geo Da Ray ("Quarter-Circle
Back", then [Back] + [Triangle]). This method allows
you to easily KO opponents and is great for earning money quickly.
To gain a lot of money in a short time, go to the options screen
and set the game to the "Easy" difficulty setting and
the time to be infinite. Then, with any character, complete the
game. After doing this, you automatically get 1,000 gold. Continue
this as long as needed. This is also an easy way to unlock character's
biographies in "Museum" mode.
In weapon master mode, go to Chapter 9, Algol, and go to stage
2, Ancient Amphitheater. Do not do the extra mission if you cannot
survive with it blowing up. Fight the people there. If you are
skilled, you might get from 20000 to over 30000 gold.
Regaining health
When you are in a dungeon and do not regain full health
back after a battle, just go to the first square in it and fight
there. You will start at full health again.
Higher ranking titles
Rankings are based on experience in edge master mode.
A good level to earn fast experience is Er Rai. It is in extra
chapter 2 (Cepheus). For example, 500,000 experience earns you
level 77, Grand Edgemaster Of The Basilisk.
Defeating Voldo in weapon master
mode
The first time you meet Voldo in weapon master mode
you must hit him twenty times in twenty seconds. Do a ring out;
even if you only have hit him less than nineteen times, you will
pass.
Easy ring outs
Get your opponent to the edge of the ring as Nightmare.
Do a back and vertical slash. Your opponent will fly into the
air and fall out of the ring.
As Cassandra, get close to the edge with your opponent closest
to it. Press [Down/Left]x2 or [Down/Right]x2 depending
on which side they are on, then press [Circle]x2. Cassandra
will do a low kick, swing around, and do a high kick.
With any character, press [Forward] + "Low Kick".
Astaroth: Power attacks
Hold [Square] or [Triangle] in certain situations
for increased damage with Astaroth's axe. Note: Execution time
is longer and may leave you vulnerable to attacks. Try to keep
some distance between Astaroth and the opponent.
Cassandra: Good combo
Press [Down] + [Right] + [Triangle]
time to perform an Upper Vertical Slash. This will send your opponent
into the air. Once they fall down slightly, do a horizontal combo
([Square], [Square]), then a vertical combo ([Triangle],
[Triangle]). This five-hit combo will give your opponent
a good amount of damage without any risk of them using Guard or
Guard Impact. Note: This can also help to ringout the opponent
if they are close to the edge.
Heihachi: Easy wins
Get close to your opponent and keep pressing [Triangle].
Ivy: Easy wins
Go near the edge of the stage (with your back facing
it) and have your opponent follow you. Use Primal Dominance ([A]
+ [G]) for instant ring outs. If your opposition does not
fall off but is close to the edge (this time with his/her back
facing it), use Rising Mind Shatter ([Up] + [K]) to
send them off.
Ivy: Defeating Valdo
When you have to hit Valdo twenty times, use Ivy and
lure him close to the water. Press [R1] + [Square] to
throw him into the water. You can also use this when you have
to guard impact Cassandra. Lure her close to the edge and throw
her over.
Maxi: Auto-followups
When using Maxi, it is important to note that some
attacks with the nunchuku continue after you have entered a particular
command, seemingly automatically.
Mitsurugi: Multiple choice attack
Press [Back] + [L2] and Mitsurugi will put
his sword in the scabbard. You now can do one of several moves.
Press [L2] again to hook the opponent in the face. Press
[Triangle] to hit the enemy on the head. Press [Square]
to turn around and hit the opponent on the shin. He will keep
putting his sword in the scabbard if you keep pressing [L2].
Nightmare: Easy combo
Press [Forward]x2, and then press [Triangle]
(vertical). Nightmare will do a strong hit on the opponent. Keep
doing this until they die and you will win with a perfect.
Nightmare: Easy wins
Do the night lower stance ([Left] [B] + [K])
and Earth Divide ([Down], [Down/Right], [Right],
[B]) twice for an easy K.O.
Equip Nightmare with Glam, soul charge during the fight. and use
Earth Divide. This will kill your opponent in one hit.
Raphael: Easy wins
As soon as the match starts hold the right side of
the "over right button" on the controller and press
[Triangle] repeatedly. Raphael will do quick strikes with
his sword repeatedly. Keep doing this, even if it is blocked (it
may pierce through). During weapon master mode, make enough money
and buy as many weapons for Raphael as possible. You will probably
get a high offense low defense or something of that sort. If you
can, get one that can pierce defenses easier. With your hits being
mostly piercing, you will hit your opponent almost every time.
When close to the edge, grab your opponent. He should be knocked
off if you use the grab where he hits them multiple times with
his sword.
Seung Mina: Health gain
Select Seung Mina and equip her ultimate weapon, the
Hraesvelgr. While in battle, you can regain lots of health quickly
with this weapon if you press [L2] to do her spinning staff
attack. Whether it hits the opponent or not, you will gain health.
Note: If you are not attacking, the weapon will drain your health,
so be careful.
Taki: Strong kick combo
When you get hit first, press [L] + [R] +
[Up] + [Kick] together in any position. You will do
a kick combo. Note: You have to get close to your opponent.
Talim: Fast combo attack
Press [Triangle]x2, then immediately press [Circle]
then [Right] (or [Left] depending on how you are standing)
+ [Circle]. Be careful if you are standing at the edge of
the stage. Talim will perform two chops with her blades then kick
her opponent in the air. After that, she will do a drop kick,
which sends the enemy flying away for a short distance.
Press [Triangle]x2, [Circle], then [Right] (or
[Left] if facing in the opposite direction) then press [Circle]x2,
[Triangle]. Talim will do two chops, kick them in the air,
then do a flip and drop kick twice followed by a slash while they
are on the ground. Be careful not to be close to the edge because
you might fall. This is also a good way to knock opponents out
of the ring.
Voldo: Easy weapon master mode
Use Voldo to complete weapon master mode by running
at the opponent, then press [Triangle] and continue this
for an easy ring out. This will cut the time to completing weapon
master mode in half.
Voldo: Easy win
First, press [Forward] + [L2] (set as [A]
+ [B]). Then, do it again and Voldo will go in Blind Stance.
Keep on tapping [Forward] + [L2] and Voldo will do freak
spins. If you are not fighting some quick recovery opponents,
such as Xianghua, you will get a quick win.
To win arcade mode easily, go to the options and make the following
changes: Easy setting, one battle per match, character switch
at continue. Choose Voldo and use the previous "Easy win"
hint for Voldo . When you get to Inferno, intentionally get yourself
killed and you can switch characters. By doing this, you can easily
unlock character profiles.
Voldo: Combos
To use the following combos, set [L2] to [A]
+ [B]; [R2] to [B] + [K]; [L1] to "Grab
1" and [R1] to "Grab 2".
Press [Away] + [L2], [Away] + [L2], [Away]
+ [L2].
Press [Down] + [R2], [Away]x3.
Press [Down] + [R2], [Down] + [B]x3 or [Down]
+ [A]x3. Do not do this near a ledge.
Yoshimitsu: Easy wins
Use either of his frontal throws and constantly use
them until the enemy is defeated. This is especially useful for
the subchapter dungeon with all of the Berzerker enemies, as most
of them are at half health.
To win very easily with Yoshimitsu, do the move where he hops
on his sword like a pogo stick. First, do a Soul Charge by pressing
[R2]. Then, press [L2], and Yoshimitsu will stand on
his sword like a pogo stick. Use the D-Pad to move over,
and Yoshimitsu will continue to jump on his opponent with the
sword. If you press [Triangle], Yoshimitsu will do a big
jump and will crush the opponent to the ground.
Yoshimitsu: Suicide
Get near the opponent then press [Down], [A]
+ [K].
Yoshimitsu: Suicide attack damage
Do a Suicide attack keep pressing [Square]. You
will keep spinning until you fall. Note: You will keep receiving
damage until you fall.
Yoshimitsu: Hidden moves
Perform Soul Siphon ([Forward], [Circle]
+ [X]), then press [Circle] + [X] to do a hidden
move. These moves are performed at random, and if you are lucky,
you can do very helpful combos by pressing those buttons at the
correct times. Some of these combos are good for ringouts. You
may even see Lei's Drunken Master Walk move from Tekken 4.
Note: After pressing that combination three times, you must perform
Soul Siphon again in order for the hidden moves to work. If you
press [Circle] + [X] without doing Soul Siphon, you
will merely do one of two taunts. These taunts are also performed
at random.
Rival selection
When you start a new game in weapon master mode, whoever
you choose for the first battle will affect who your rival will
be for the rest of the game. If your rival is male, then his name
will be Leon. If they are female, their name will be Minerva.

Predicting demo mode winner
A demo fight between two random characters will start
if you allow the game to idle at the title screen. There are two
ways for you to actually tell who would win before the match ends.
First, the character on the left side of the versus screen will
win. Second, the "losing" character will have his/her
mini-profile displayed first during the fight. After the "winning"
character wins, his/her mini-profile will now be displayed. Note:
There is a possibility that the "winning" character
will lose the fight and will suddenly make a pose as if he/she
actually was the fighter who won.
Perfect practice mode
You can kill yourself in practice mode without having
to ring out, resulting in a perfect for other combatant. To do
this, select Yoshimitsu as the character that you are going to
practice with. When the practice starts, have the opponent lay
down on the ground. Next, perform Yoshimitsu's suicide attack
(where he stabs himself in the stomach). Repeat this two to four
times (one immediately after another) and you will die. Your opponent
will get a perfect in practice mode.
Glitch: Heihachi sinks in quick sand
In the Weapon Master mode, play as Heihachi in an Egyptian
Pyramid (for example, Swordmen's Grave, Phantom Temple). Fight
until you reach the part with the quick sand. Let yourself be
defeated and eventually he will sit down and let himself sink
in the quick sand. This also works for Maxi.
