Third jerseys
Select the New York Rangers as the visiting team. Hold [Square] + [Right] at the controller selection screen.

Super players
Enter one of the following names at the player creation screen:

DAVE BRICKHILL
JOSJ HASSIN
TAWN KRAMER
JOHN REHLING

Then enter "1" as a jersey number, "Forward" as a position, "Right-handed", "150" as a weight. Do not edit any other attribute. Press [Triangle] to exit, then sign the player as a free agent. The newly created player will have new attributes, with an overall ranking of 99.

Quick goal
Wait until a faceoff. Allow the players to get set and wait for the puck to appear in the ref's hand. When he is about to drop the puck, pause game play, go to the controller select option, and put the controller in the middle. Go to "Edit Lines" and press [Left] or [Right] until the opposing team's logo is displayed. Take out each player and put in someone that is not already in the game. Also change the goalie to a new player. Return to controller select, place it back on your team's side, then resume the game. Once the ref drops the puck, all players including the goalie on the other team will leave to get a sub. If done correctly, you can score easily.

Building a good team
Choose your desired team before you go into a playoff or season. Then, go to the player selection screen where you can trade, create, sign and release players. Go to "Release Players" and release all the poor overall players. Then, scroll through every player on all the other teams. Release all the best players. Exit out then go to "Sign Free Agent". Select all the good players for your team and your team's overall stats should be 99.
