Hints
Defeating Armrament Armed Arm (A3)
Coming to this Boss battle with three CRAWs equipped
is recommended. Select Free Range and aim it to where it is fired
from the front of your ship. When the battle begins, fire at the
middle of A3 while avoiding the bullets it sprays out. Should
it fire a continuous laser at you, go to the bottom-center to
where you will not only avoid it, but also keep attacking it.
Should it fire its main cannon (where it fire five lasers at a
180 degree radius four times), go to the left-center of the screen
to avoid the attack altogether, and still attack it. Keep attacking
until its first form is destroyed. It will go into its second
form. During the transformation from the first form to the second,
aim Free Range to where it is fired from the bottom of your ship.
Quickly go above A3 and use Over Weapon. Keep this up until its
second form is destroyed. During the transformation from the second
form to the third and final form, aim Free Range to where it is
fired from the front of your ship. Go to the upper-left portion
of the screen and fire at it. By doing this, you will not only
hit A3, but also avoid its grab move and quad-laser attack, plus
destroy any heat-guided missile that it throws at your ship. Make
sure to avoid the bullets that it sprays at you. Keep attacking
and avoiding until A3 has been defeated.
Defeating Deep Purple
Select Free Range as your weapon and aim the pointer
to where the lasers will be fired from the front of your ship.
Once Deep Purple comes around, lock on to the torso of its body
and fire. Should Deep Purple fire a giant laser, immediately move
to the bottom of the screen before it hits you. Should it fire
Hunter-like lasers at you, take evasive maneuvers. Continue firing
until it temporarily blows up. You must now battle its second
form. With the second form, repeat the firing tactics of the first
form. Should Deep Purple fire a giant laser upwards to the left,
quickly move to the upper right section of the screen -- make
sure you do not touch Deep Purple. Should it fire a giant laser
downwards to the left, move to the bottom middle of the screen.
Continue firing and avoid the bullets it shoots, and it will be
defeated.
Defeating Iron Maiden
Note: Facing this Boss with three CRAWs equipped is
recommended. Select Free Range as your weapon and aim the pointer
to where it fires lasers from the front of your ship. When Iron
Maiden appears, lock onto the arms and fire. Keep firing until
all four arms are destroyed. Then lock onto the body (it should
be at the rear) and fire the Over weapon at it until it is defeated.
