Using No Complys and Bonelesses
The most useful way to use No Complys and Bonelesses is
to never Ollie -- the No Complys and Bonelesses give points for
the same effect.
Bullring Extra points
Begin at the normal start position with Jamie Thomas.
Go straight up the first half pipe wall, then back up the opposite
side. Make sure you have your special filled and go to your left
,where the half pipe has less vert. Jump off that side, and while
drifting in the air to the right, do a Backflip then push your
special grind. If done correctly, you should grind on the railing
on top of the halfpipe. Jump off the end into your One Footed
Nose Manual and head to the wall around where the bull is located.
Then jump and do your special grind on that and any other desired
combos. Then jump off and manual over to a grind. You should end
up with about 200,000 points.
Go to the base of the loop-the-loop (facing in towards the half
pipe). While positioned on the wooden flat area, hold [Down/Left]
or [Down/Right] to turn in circles (stay on the wooden area).
When your time is almost up, go around the loop. The "7800
Way To Go Gringo" message will appear and you should get
over 98.0 every time in the competition.
Bullring: Land on your head
Go outside to the bullring, where the bull runs around.
If you get hit in the back by the bull you will fly up in the
air and land on your head.
Bullring: Cash icons
The cash icons are actually hidden underneath the bull
"dung" on the track where the bull is running.
Bullring: Easy tag win
Do a move bigger than your opponent. Then, enable the
"Flight mode" code and fly up to where the stands are
located. Fly behind them. This should only work on a certain side
of the ring that you must figure out.
Hawaii: Hiding in tag mode
This level is so small it is usually difficult to escape
from your opponent. A good place to hide is in the helicopter.
If your opponent cannot get into it, you can stay there until
time runs out.
Marseilles: Secret area
Select the Marseilles level. At the start, go straight
until you see a wooden fence. Ollie up onto the ledge and go by
the fence. Look for a tall post. It has a small board that is
at an angle and leaning against the post. Hit the board and the
big post will fall on the wooden fence and open a secret area.
Go in the area and fall down the hole. It will show that you are
out of bounce, but in fact you are not. If you want to leave,
go back to where you started in the area and ollie into the black
cave. It has an exit sign near it. This will take you outside
of the secret area and back to the original part of the game.
Marseilles: Extra points
In the Marseilles level, start the run holding [X].
Take a sharp turn to your left, and you should see a building
with two funboxes in front. Jump off the funbox closest to you
and wall ride. Then, wallie up to the top of the building. This
may take a few tries. Once there, grind the edge until you see
the skater turn to grind the flag. Immediately jump, land on the
dumpster, and grind. Jump off and manual over to the clover pool.
Grind the rails that circle the two pools and manual to the tree
area where you should alternate between grinding the planter and
rail. End on the planter and manual to the ledge. Jump off and
land on the rail. If desired, you can go farther, but this trick
will garner almost 80000 if done correctly, and more if you add
kicktricks between grinds. This can be done in less than a minute
and does not require you to have a special.
At the start, turn left to find a large crossbar. Nollie up to
it and grind on it, jumping at least three to four times on it
to the right until you jump off of it. If done correctly, you
will land on the top of a lamp post doing a Lampstomp. Grind on
this, jump, and grind on it again. Finally, jump off and land.
This trick takes some talent, but if done correctly will result
in an excess of 90,000 points. If you are skilled enough, after
you jump off the lamp post, grind on a ground rail for a little
bit or mix in some other tricks for even more points.
Marseilles: Wall Crawler
In the secret room in Marseilles, do a wall ride around
the entire room. It will be called a Wall Crawler.
Marseilles: No graffiti
Unlock smooth mode and go to Marseilles. When you start,
the park should look as if it was just built.
Hangar Secret tape
Chopper Hop to the next room. You will see a helicopter
and a garage type door with a barrel in front of it. Grind on
the blade of the helicopter. You will hear a sound followed by
a loud rumble and the whole room will shake. Go over to the garage
door and it will be open. Enter the opening and up the quarter-pipe
to find a secret tape.
When you begin the level, go to the helicopter which is to the
left from the starting point. Grind one of the helicopter blades
and it will start flying and will break through the wall. Follow
the helicopter through the opening in the wall and the hidden
tape will be on a ramp.
Hangar: Extra points
Enable the "Perfect balance" code and go
to the end of the rail after you jump the halfpipe and start to
grind. Grind, then keep switching grinds and go around the whole
room with the helicopter. After you break through the glass on
the other side, grind and jump and initial gap that you start
the level on and land the grind on the other side. This will result
in 60,000 points.
With a custom skater, get your special up, then go to the other
side of the level near the wingtip hangtime. Do a vert trick on
the quarterpipe, land with a manual, do a 540 flip over the wingtip
hangtime, land with a manual, do a kickflip McTwist on the other
pipe that is currently directly in front of you, land with a manual,
and do a darkslide on the very long ramp. Then, do a kickflip
in the middle of the rail and land with another darkslide. This
should get you about 100,000 points.
Mexico: Easy tournament win
When you start the last level it should be a tournament.
Go towards the ring where the bull is running. You must jump to
the empty area where there is no crowd. In that ring are four
ramps. Jump up one of them and there should be a line up there.
Grind on that line. Try to do the best grind possible. Grind across
and you should get a trick points above 50,000 or even 100,000.
Do this one or two times.
New York Banks
Get all 5 subway tokens in career mode and ride the
subway rails to the end to get to the banks. Do not get hit by
the trains.
There is a knocked down pole near a street light in the level,
on the curb. Just grind up the rail and then you will end up in
the banks. To get out of the banks. there is a jump on the left-hand
side of where you entered the banks. Just go off the ramp and
jump over the wall that is in front of it. You will end up on
the curb were the rail is.
New York: R2D2 sounds
Enable the "Perfect balance" code. When you
start, turn the music volume to a low level and go straight to
the wall that is in front of you and grind it. Keep grinding on
it until you do a left turn, then jump to the other side of the
wall (the ramp is not in that part of the wall ). Keep grinding
it. You will then see a metal fence. Before the wall ends, try
to grind the metal fence without stopping the grind of the wall.
Pay close attention while you do the grind and you will hear R2D2
sounds.
Philadelphia: Drain the fountain
Use the following trick to easily accomplish the objective
of draining the fountain in the second to the last level. Instead
of grinding the long telephone pole to get to the roof where the
valves are, at the start turn slightly right and then do a grind.
Then, jump the kicker (be sure to get the gap), then grind down
the rail. Once at the bottom, there will be a slope to jump from.
Do a boneless jump to the roof, and to get to the valves.
To the right of the start of the Philadelphia level an object
to grind on. Get some speed and One Foot Bluntslide (or any grind
that results in a lot of speed) it, and skate to the ramp right
in front of it. shoot Of the ramp, pass the end of the ramp and
Grind Rail on the steps -- do not touch the ground between the
ramp and the rail. Fly of the mini curb at the bottom of the steps
and you will go up to the house/building. Knobs to drain the fountains
are up there, as well as money.
School Secret gym area
Go very quickly to where you do the Roll Call Rail
2. This must be done in under 21 seconds, before the bell rings.
After that run over to the gym.
The secret to entering the gym lies within the Roll Call! Opunsezmee
Rail. You need to pay attention to the bells during the level.
Memorize when each bell rings. Try grinding the rail when each
bell rings.
You need to collect the five hall passes just like you need to
collect the five tokens to go into the escalator to the railroads.
To get to a secret location in the School level, you first have
to complete the game in career mode. After that, go to single
session or free skate mode. Using the same skater, go to the School
level. Go to location with the two rails that you can ollie between.
The door behind them should be open. Go into that door. If you
go to the left you will end up at an Olympic-sized pool. If you
go to the right, you will end up in a small skatepark.
School Extra points in gym
Unlock the gym, then go to the basketball court. You
will see a garage. Jump by it and grind/ The message "Kissed
rail" will appear. Keep trying until you grind into a white
area and float. Do as many tricks as possible here -- you cannot
spin. After getting enough points, press [Triangle] to grind
back in. You will bash against the wall, then fall into the gym
and get all those points.
School Extra points
Note: This trick requires all the characters being
unlocked and the "Unlimited specials" code. Go to free
skate and choose Spider-Man. In the School level, jump over the
wall that is near the bike stalls. Get on a grassy area and perform
a manual ([Up], [Down] default) and wait until you stop.
Then jump and do a Spidey flip ([Up], [Down], [Circle]).
Then, while you are still flipping, hit another manual. You will
land a manual after your flip. Keep repeating this and stop after
getting enough points.
School 2 level: Extra points
Enable the "Master code" or the "Moon
physics", "Full special", and "Perfect balance"
codes. Go to the School 2 level. As you play, you will see brown
buildings and a large wall near the bike racks. Go up to them,
wallride, and wallie at the very top of your wallride. You will
be above the building or wall. Hold "Grind". Special grinds
will result in a large number of points. When you want to get
out of the grind press "Ollie". If you do a special trick
out you will get even more points. You should end up with at least
40,000 points.
Do a Flip Trick onto the bottom of the long planter in front of
you as the level starts and grind the length of it. Flip Trick
off that into a Manual, and grind down the Nightmare rail that
should be in front of you. Before the rail turns, Ollie off the
rail, do a Spinning Grab and land in a grind on the bench. Clear
the bench gap, do a trick off the bench, and land in a Manual.
Manual over to the Roll Call Gym rail that is slightly to the
left, and grind it. After jumping the gap and grinding the other
side, do a Flip Trick off and manual straight over to the "TC's
roof gap" building. Wall Ride the side of it that is straight
ahead and Wallie off, doing a Spinning Grab. Land in a grind on
the top of the planter and flip trick off, Manualing again onto
Bendy's Curb. Jump off of the curb once you get the gap and Manual
to the Roll Call Gonz Rail, and grinding up it. Ollie off at an
appropriate time and Manual to the quarter pipe, doing a trick
on that. Enable the "Perfect balance" and "Kid
mode" codes for best effect. If done correctly, over 300,000
points can be collected.
When you first start, go to the front by the steps. Go back and
speed forward. Jump off the side of the rail and hold [Circle]
+ [Left] (or do a different trick). Land it and you will
get the "Leap Of Faith" gap and high points. To help
get the Pro Score or Sick Score, go up and do a different trick
until you reach 40,000 points.
School 2 level: Illenium logo
When you start the level, head towards the left corner
of the stage. You should come to a ledge called "Bendy's
Curb" or something similar. Next to "Bendy's Curb"
is a double set of stairs. Face the double set and look to the
right. You should see a wall with a red hooded man painted on
it. This red hooded man is the logo for Illenium decks.
School 2 level: Bathroom sounds
Go to the bathrooms set the music volume to zero. You
should hear the sound of somebody going to the bathroom.
School 2: All cash icons
In career mode, enable the "Flight mode"
code Try to get all the cash icons. If the message "Cash
Icons Cleaned" does not appear, go to the bike rack. Look
at the front of it. Fly to the left slightly, and fly in. There
are two more cash icons here.
Skate Heaven Enima Chen Ramp
It is possible to get to the Enima Chen Island in Skate
Heaven without using the "Skip to Restart" cheat. Follow
the snake run and go through the full pipe. Then, jump off the
hip to the top of the halfpipe. Grind the rail on top of the halfpipe
to your right, then jump to the roof to your right. Grind the
corner all the way to the next roof and do the Time To Feed The
Volcano gap. The screen will start shaking. Jump off the roof
and skate over to the Time 2 Feed The Volcano gap. Gap the Feed
Me Volcano -- i.e. gapping into the volcano. Do the gap and you
will land in the Enima Chen Island.
Enable the "Skip to Restart" cheat, and use it in the
Skate Heaven level. The second and third restart locations will
take you to the Enima Chen Ramp. This ramp can only be accessed
this way and has at least three gaps. To leave, either use "Skip
to Restart", or skate toward the Neversoft Sign.
To get to the secret area in Skate heaven, get the "Time
2 Feed The Volcano" gap to have it erupt. Then, proceed to
the Combibowl area but do not enter. From the platform near the
volcano, jump in to the center of the volcano. You will be transported
to the Secret Area.
Enable the "Flight mode" code. Grind the rail that is
going onto the building with the set of stairs and rails in it.
You should get a special called "Time 2 Feed The Volcano!!"
Fly over to the volcano and drop into it. To get back to the regular
part of the level, find the clock and hit it.
Skate Heaven: Invisible floor
Enable the "Flight mode" code. Select Rune
Glifburg and begin game play in Skate Heaven. Hold [X] to
go out as far and high as you can. When you get to the point where
you cannot move anywhere, release [X]. You will land on an
invisible floor and can go through the objects.
Skate Heaven: Skate in space
Start the Skate Heaven level with the "Moon Physics
2" enabled. After you exit from the pipe jump you should
eventually hit solid ground. Note: You must do a continuous trick
such as an Ollie.
Skate Heaven: Extra points
On the Animal Chin ramp, there is a spine You have
to gap along the side of the quarterpipe (not from one side to
the next side). If you gap further along enough, a name of a gap
should appear, and the inside of the ramp smashes open. Go through
it to get 1,000 points each time.
Hold [X] and keep going around the pipe. You will get 6,000
points each time.
Skate Street: Secret area
Go straight from the beginning of the level onto the
huge quarter pipe wall. Grind the entire rail on top of wall and
keep going. You will get a transfer called "Van Secret Area
Key". A new level will open near the wall.
Skate Street: Vending machine sounds
Go to the bridge side of the halfpipe. There should
be two vending machines. Ram or ollie into them and listen.
Skate Street: Secret members
Turn down the music volume to zero. Then hold "Brake"
and listen.
Skate Street: Extra points
Create a skater and make his special the Lazy A. Grind.
Enable the "Perfect balance" code and grind around the
halfpipe. When you turn around and return, relax and watch your
skater grind and get thousands of points.
Enable the perfect balance code. Go to the Van Secret Area Key
gap. Do it with a special grind, and make the grind extremely
slow. If it is good once you pulled the gap, the tiny hill will
push you back for you to do another Van Secret Area Key. Leave
the controls alone and your skater should still be grinding. When
you are done getting points, do a big drop off the rail.
Skate Street: Big grind
Find the halfpipe next to the bowl in the level, and
go into it. Go to the end of the pipe and grind on the lip across
from the hump. Grind towards the stairs at the other end of the
pipe. Try not to go that fast. Go around on the grind that connects
to the other lip of the pipe. When you reach the hump it should
slow you down, causing you to go backwards. You will then grind
back to the other side of the pipe and when you reach the hump
on the other side. It will do the same thing. You can keep going
on the grind and with some patience, can earn millions of points.
Skate Street: Rail secret area key
When you start, go to the big quarterpipe and grind
the top of it. Then, jump over to the hanging rail. The "Wave
Wall Minigap" message will appear, followed by the "Rail
Secret Area Key" message.
Venice Beach: Extra points
Use the following trick to get over 1,000,000. Start
by heading towards the small white ramp in front of you. Jump
off it and try to do a big move very fast, such as a Christ Air,
and try to land on the fence. This will require some practice,
so may want to use a smaller move until then. Continue down the
fence and jump onto the roof of the building at the end, then
grind the right edge. Jump off this and do a manual in a curve
to the left. Jump onto the cement wall located there and alternately
jump on the fences and grind over and in-between them. Continue
all the way to the end and around the curve, until it slants up
onto another roof. Grind the right edge of this roof until you
reach the end, then jump off and manual all the way up the right
vert ramp. Do a move off this ramp and try to float to the right
in mid-air. Although it may seem that you will hit the roof, hold
[Triangle] and land in-between the gap -- you will continue
to grind. You can grind along this wall until you reach the end,
then jump off slightly to the right to land on a shorter wall.
Then, continue along this with speed and jump off onto a wall
above a small flight of steps. Jump off this wall, manual, and
jump off the ramp floating to the right. If you land the gap,
you should have between 500,000 and 1,500,000 points depending
on the variety of moves.
Venice Beach: Spider-Man painting
Go forward when you start the level. Take a right and
keep going. Find one of the last columns that stick into the air.
Look on one of the sides that are closest to the fence to see
a Spider-Man painting.
Alternate stickers on ramps
If you use either Spider-Man or Private Carrera in
any mode, most of the stickers on the ramps will have alternate
pictures. Signs in Create A Park mode will also be different.
For Spider-Man, they will be changed to Spider-Man, Marvel, Spidey
Badge, and face emblems. For Private Carrera, they will be changed
to Neversoft, Neversoft logo, and Activision emblems.
Tag mode hiding place
When you are not "it" in tag mode, go near
the starting point and move to the double sided ramp with the
bell over it. Ollie up it and Wallride the side of the wall. Then
Ollie, when you are at the highest point. You should jump high
enough to grind the side of the upper ledge. Then, Ollie to the
right so you are on the roof section. There is a balcony going
parallel to the roof that you are on, Ollie on it. There should
be a small ledge at the side of the stairs with plants, to your
left. Jump down to it. If the person who is "it" does
not know how to get up to it, you will have a great hiding place.
Note: Do not enable the "Double moon physics" code or
your opponent will be able to get you.
In Love Park, enable the "Flight mode" code. When you
are not "it", fly over the fence. It might take a while
to do this. Fall to the ground and disable the code. You can ride
out easily, and can see through the fence, but the other player
cannot catch you.
Extra points
Skate switch and do wheels. To skate switch better,
build up your switch. To wheel better, build up your manuals.
Enable the "Perfect balance" code, then find a rail
or a bar similar to the bars above the half pipe in Bull Run.
Rail slide it, and ollie out when you are ready to stop.
Go to "Create A Park" and do a single grinding rail
followed by two more. Then, take a slanted piece and repeat until
they all join. Make every two rails a gap. Set the point limit
to 5000, enable infinite skate, and rack up the points. The multiplier
will say "28.5 "but it is actually more .
Go to "Create A Park" and make the highest risers you
can. Place a large halfpipe on it. Place a wide bowl under it.
Use Tony Hawk and if you can get enough air, you can do a The
900 + The 900 for over 32000 points. You can triple the 900s if
you enable "Moon physics" and "Kid mode".
One of the best non-special combos to not use manuals is Switch
Perfect 540 Varial + Sal Flip. This maneuver results in about
6,000 points. If you want to use a manual in there to extend it,
you could piece together such as Switch Perfect 540 Varial + Sal
Flip + Manual + Tailslide + Boardslide. If the Grinds and Manual
each last about 700 points, you can get around 40,000 points from
the combo.
Enable the "Flight mode" code, then hold [Triangle]
to keep spinning. You will get slower and slower to the point
where it appears that you cannot spin any more. Press [L2]
or [R2]. Hold [Left] to spin right or hold [Right]
to spin left. You will go faster and faster until you spin like
a twister and get a large number of points.
Enable the "Perfect balance", "Kid mode",
"Unlimited specials", and "Moon physics" codes.
Come to a complete stop (optional),Ollie into the air, and land
in a Nose Manual. Ollie and do a special while into the air. Land
back into any Manual. Keep repeating this process as long as desired.
This trick is especially useful if your skater has the Muska Nose
Manual.
Nollie or Fakie before you do any trick.
Create a skater and give him the Casper to 360 Flip special. Do
a free skate, and while standing still, do the combination. Your
skater will do an extra move called Freestylin' and double your
points.
Landing a big drop
Build up your landing points. If you see a big drop
appear, press [X] before you land or you will bail. Note:
If you have enabled the "Moon physics" or the "Double
moon physics" codes, big drop will not appear. Landing a
big drop gives you extra points.
Land any trick
Enable the "Kid mode" code and you can land
any trick just from doing a ollie. To do this as a big person,
just change the weight in the cheat selection screen to a different
weight.
Faster kickflips or heelflips
After leaving a ramp, hold [Left] or [Right]
and repeatedly press [Square]. This will allow you to do
fast kickflips or heelflips. Note: While doing this your skater
will also start to spin.
Getup faster after wiping out
Keep pressing [X] to get up faster.
More costumes
Go to career mode as Spider-Man style B and get 100%
on the first and second levels. On the third level, get 90% (or
a gold medal) and on the fourth level get 30%. Then. go to "Spend
Some Cash" and change Spider-Man's style. If done correctly
you should have Spider-Man costumes C and D.
Get on top of beams
Enable the "Flight mode" code and fly to
the top of the beam in a custom made park. You will see a yellow
flat area. Go on to it, and you will be on top of the beam.
Flythrough space
Enable the master code, then activate "Moon physics",
"Stud", and "Skip to restart" at the cheats
menu. Go to the Skate Heaven level and skip to restart to The
Wallows. Immediately after teleporting, go left and hold [Up]
to launch off the edge into outer space. You will fall onto nothing,
and can now fly through space.
Extramove
Select Rodney Mullen or anyone else with the Casper
to 360 Flip. Get a special, go slow, then do the Casper to 360
Flip. Most of the time you will do the Casper to 360 Flip to Freestylin.
During the freestylin, your skater will do a little extra move.
Note: Enabling the "Full special" and "Perfect
balance" codes will make this trick easier. Note: Press [Right],
[Down], [Square] and he will do the Freestylin'.
Double900
Activate the "Moon physics" cheat after it
has been unlocked and choose Tony Hawk. Get your special meter
up, then pull a 900. After you pull the first one, press the buttons
to do it again, and you will have successfully done it two times.
Make sure you have enough space to do the other 2 and a half rotations.
Landing the 900
Hold [X] and just before you leave a ramp, press
the D-pad your 900 is on (for example, [Down], [Right]),
then release [X] and press [Circle]. This saves you
time to spin and land it.
1080, 1260
Activate the "Moon physics" cheat after it
has been unlocked and choose any skater. Begin to skate any ramp/course,
hit a high ramp, and start spinning. Press [L1] or [R1]
to spin faster and do a 900,1080, 1260, and possibly a 1440.
OllieThe Magic Bum X5
To get Ollie The Magic Bum X5, just look for the green
trash cans that have a piece of cardboard next to them.
Casper To 360 Flip + Freestylin
Get a skater that has the Casper To 360 Flip special
move. The move needs to be under the [Down] + [Up] +
[Square] sequence. Go to a level, do the Casper To 360 Flip
and hold [Square] until you do the Casper To 360 + Freestylin.
Partial on-board backflip
Good timing is required for this trick. When you are
about to go off the edge of a ramp or anything elevated, do a
Muska Nose Manual (without jumping). When your character goes
off the edge he will do a backflip on his board (e.g. go back
to his normal position).
Manualing on rails
Enable the "Perfect balance" code to do this
easier. Ride up to any rail (works best when going slow), ollie,
and do any grind. Do another ollie and do any manual. You should
manual on the rail. Caspers and Muska Nose Manuals along with
One Foot Nose Manuals also work. This works best on flat rails
and going uphill on rails. Once you come to a stop, you can spin
in circles on the rail. This trick requires a lot of practice
when done on downhill rails.
More air
Go off a ramp, but do not Ollie. After about a second
after going off the ramp, Ollie to get more air.
Easierair in created park
Create a park make a small pool. This makes it easier
to get a lot of air and allow moves such as Tony Hawk's 900 to
be pulled off.
Large vert ramp in created park
Note: You will not be able to keep the original park
you made with this trick. Enter the park editor, press [Start]
and select "New Park". Select "60x6" as a
size. When you get to the park, line both long walls with quarter
pipes. When you line both of the long walls, add a roll-in to
start off on. You may want to add quarter pipes with rails at
the top for extra grinds.
Very big variation of a roll-in in
created park
Go to the Park Editor and select any size arena. Build
higher and higher with the platform tool. Go all the way to the
top and leave enough room for your character to fit. Set the start
position for player one on top of all the layers. At the bottom,
put an underground half-pipe. Go to Test Play and simply roll
off the edge creating a huge roll-in.
Get up on top of pillars in a created
park
Put pillars(not the thin pillars) in the middle of
the park. Do not put any starting points for players. When you
start, you should land on top of a pillar.
ChicagoSkate Park in park editor:
Enter the park editor, then go to the pre-made parks. Scroll
down until you see the "PROPS" park. Select it to find
a park that resembles the Chicago Skate Park level from the original
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.

Newwipeouts
The following wipeouts were added since the original
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
Fall on your back
Lean back all the way when you do a manual to fall on your
back and have your skateboard sent into the air. Sometimes when
you are on the ground rolling up the street, try to do a Stiff
Indy and the board will shoot out and you will fall back.
Fall off of the rail and land on your back
Grind sideways on a thin rail and lean all the way to the
side to fall off of the rail and land on your back.
Land on your head
Wipeout when you are close to a ledge and fall off to land
on your head.
Slide on your knees
Wipeout on a halfpipe facing forward. To do this, go to any
halfpipe, perform a Nosestall, and hold it until you bail.
Land on your butt
Do a boardslide on a rail in the air and bail.
Front Flip Bail for any skater
Buy the Indy Frontflip and begin game play in the Hangar
level. When you are going over the helicopter, do the Indy Frontflip
and hit the top. You should fall and flip before you hit the ground.
Helicopter Spin
Enable the "Slow Nic" and "Triple Moon
physics" codes. Wallie into a right spin. While spinning,
hold [Circle]. Note: Be careful of the ceiling.
Recommended stat development
Build up stats in the following order, especially for
vert skaters: Air, Hangtime, Rail Balance, Speed, Ollie, Switch,
Spin, Landing, Manual Balance, and Lip Balance.
Drunkenskater
Do five manuals and bail on all of them. Do a 360 Ollie
and your skater will act as if he were drunk.
Glitch:Chad Muska
Get a full special, then do the Muska Nose Manual ([Right],
[Left], [Circle]) while you are skating. Then, press
[X] to Ollie and you will do a flip. Note: you will not get
any points.
Glitch: Chopper Drop Hawaii: Float in air
After you start, go to the big ramp that lets you drop
in and jump to the dock. Fall near the top of the ramp. You will
float in mid-air for a few seconds.
Glitch: Chopper Drop Hawaii: Do tricks
in the water
Enable the "Double moon physics" code, then
go to the other side of the halfpipe. Go to the top of the tall
part, but do not go off of it. Go down the ramp as fast as you
can and Ollie. You should fly over the finish banner and go to
the other side. The graphics will be black and you cannot see
yourself, but you can still do tricks. You will eventually go
back to the helicopter.
Glitch: Chopper Drop Hawaii: Float in water
Enable the "Flight mode" code and start the
Chopper Drop level. Go into the air and hover over the water.
Keep going down closer to the water until you hear a splash. You
can now float around in the water.
Glitch: Chopper Drop Hawaii: Underwater
Enable the "Double moon physics" code, then
go to the ramp that you can do the 70, 80, and 90 feet gaps. Hold
[Up], and if done correctly, you should go past it and land
in the water. You will be underwater and can not get back to the
ramps.
Enable the "Flight mode" code. When you fall out of
the chopper, fly diagonally as high as you can, then let go and
hold [Up]. Note: This looks best in two player mode, as you
can see the other player.
Enable the "Flight mode" code. Fly to the edge of the
level into the blackness, then land. If you look up, you can see
the level.
Glitch:Hangar: Black section
Enable the "Skip to restart" cheat in the
Hanger level use and go to the Heli Side. Stop in the middle of
the barrels that are in front of you until they disappear. Then,
jump up and grind all around to the other side. There will be
black section that you cannot get past. You can grind on the small
part of pole into the black section. You can do a lot of tricks
-- to get back, just grind out. It is easier to grind to the other
side if the "Perfect balance" cheat is enabled.
Glitch: Hangar: Flop around
Get to secret tape room in The Hangar in free skate
mode. Try to get really big air on the quarter pipe until the
"It's cold up here" message appears. Try to fall on
your stomach. If done correctly, you will not be able to get up
and just flop on your stomach like a fish.
Glitch: Spin outside fence
Grind on the helicopter and open the secret tape room
above the middle half-pipe. Spin around outside the fence where
the wolf barks.
Glitch: New York: Skate underwater
Enable the "Flight mode" code. At the river
at the end of the banks, fly over to the barge and drop down.
You will be skating underwater. Note: You can also get to the
barge by enabling the "Double moon physics" code. At
the river at the end of the barks, get some speed and jump over
to the barge.
Glitch: New York City: Manual in place
Start the level and turn around. Take the first right
to where you can go down by the water, where the fence is blocking
it. Purposely jump into the water. Just as your skater is returning
to the level before the red message appears, press [Up],
[Down] or [Down], [Up] to do a manual. If done
correctly, your skater will manual in place no matter how many
tricks-to-manuals you do or buttons you press. This works best
with the "Perfect balance" cheat enabled. To get out,
just do a trick without doing a manual after it or just bail.
This may require a few attempts because you have to do the manual
before your skater hits the ground after being removed from the
water.
Glitch: New York: Empty area
Enable the "Flight mode" code. Go to the
area where the secret tape was located and fly to the Brooklyn
Bridge. Fly into the black water. It will make the splashing sound,
but the game will not send you back to the start.
Glitch: Philadelphia: Do objective and
do not get cash
Go to free skate and select the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
level. Make sure that you have not gotten the "Drain The
Fountain" objective in career mode. While in free skate,
grind across the huge rail that is over the fountain. Make sure
you have full grind balance stats. As you grind across it, jump
every now and then so it will be easier to clear. Do not bail
the grind -- just ollie up and down while grinding. Once you are
almost at the end of the grind, bail onto the building. Once on
top of the building, go right and you will fall onto a balcony.
You will see a vale (faucet). Ride onto it. The fountain will
now drain. Make sure you get the cash in the bottom of the fountain.
Then, exit free skate. Now go to carrier mode and select the Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania level. The fountain will be drained but you will
not get the cash. To get the cash, just go hit the vale (faucet)
again and you will get the credit.
Glitch: Philadelphia: Fountain
Enable the "All gaps" code and go directly
to the fountain. It will be already be drained, but if you go
to the valves you will be able to turn them anyway. You must get
to the fountain in under 21 seconds, or it will appear as if it
has not been drained yet, and you will not be able to drain it
unless you turn the "All gaps" code off.
Glitch:Philadelphia: Telephone lines:
When you access the Philadelphia level during career mode,
do not free skate it to learn it. If you knock down the telephone
lines in free skate mode, they will remain that way in career
mode making it impossible for you to collect the money that is
usually on them.
Glitch: Philadelphia: Pass through fence
Go by the skatepark and when the gates are still closed,
skate along the fence going slow. Before you get to the first
pillar, do a 180 Ollie. You should pass through the fence.
Glitch:School: Skate through wall
Enter the gym and go to the basketball court. Get enough
speed and go to the right side. On the left side of the stairs
location, go to the left and then grind on the right or the left.
If done correctly, you can go through the wall and the floor will
be as if you are in the sky.
Enter the gym area and go to the top right corner. There should
be a door to the right. At the tiny wall space, jump at the wall
and press "Grind" when you hit. Stop moving keep pressing
[Triangle] until you get through the wall.
Glitch: School: Invisible pipe
Start in the School level and go to the gym/pool. Enter
the part with the pool and hit the "High Dive Extension"
in an axle stall. Hold the stall until you bail. You should kneeslide
down as if you would on a pipe, but without anything visible.
Glitch: School: Get stuck
Go to the stairs and turn tothe place where there is
a long rail. Grind down it and fall so that you are still on it.
Then jump and press [Down] to get stuck.
Glitch: School 2: Float around
Stand in front of the mini quarter pipe that has a
bell over it. It is located near the Roll Call 2 rail, under the
flags. Stand where the man in the car can hit you. You should
be hit onto the mini quarter pipe, and will be able to float around
the level.
Glitch: School 2: Strange sounds
Get enough money in career mode or enable a cheat to
buy the Lazy A. Grind trick for a custom skater. Go to the School
2 level and perform it. You should hear some strange sounds.
Glitch: School 2: No gym or pool area
Enable the "Flight mode" cheat and go to
the gym entrance. Hold [X] until you get above the building
slightly. The top of the building should be dark except for the
two passageways in the front near the entrance and in the back.
Face towards the building and hold [Forward] until the game
does not allow you to go any further. Slowly drop down and land
in the front passage that should be shaped like a "T".
You should go through the roof and land in the front passage.
If you try to go into the pool or gym area, you will see the rails
outside of the building and will not be able to go into these
areas. To get these areas back, you will have to retry.
Glitch: School 2: Trapped
In the School 2 level, go in the gym where the basketball
nets are located. Next to the "Three Points!" gap is
a closed blue door. Ollie into the corner and hold "Grind"
to grind through the wall, into the wall, next to the Gonz rail.
If you keep grinding, you will hit into the wall and bail. If
you Ollie off the wall, you can keep doing spins until you are
forced to retry. It is impossible to exit the glitch.
Glitch School 2: Skate through bike rack
In two player mode, go to the School 2 level. Go to
the two bike racks (rack em up). You should be able to go right
through the first bike rack.
Glitch:Skate Heaven: Skate through objects
When you first begin, head towards Snakeway (the very
long gray halfpipe). When you get to the end near the round pipe,
jump off the right-hand side and hold [Up] or [Down].
You should land on an invisible platform. When you are on the
platform, you are able to skate around the entire area below and
will be able to skate through objects such as the bottom of the
volcano. Note: The glitch only works in freeskate mode and there
must be stars.
Glitch: Skate Heaven: Ride without a skateboard
Go to Skate Heaven with any character and ride around
until you find a long rail. Start grinding and fall off on purpose.
Try to hit the rail on your stomach at least five times. On the
fifth time you should get up with no skateboard. You cannot control
the skater -- you must exit to return to normal.
Glitch: Skate Heaven: Skate in space
Enable the "Flight mode" cheat and go near
any edge of the floating island. Hold [X] and go just high
enough to fly over the edge. When you reach this height, hold
[Triangle] and hover in that location. Glide out off the
island into space, and slowly lower yourself until your character
either lands or falls. When your character gets up, he/she should
be riding in space. You will be able to do tricks as though you
were on solid ground. To go back onto the island, simply use the
fly and hover buttons and head towards the torch -- you will not
be able to see the island at this time. As you get closer, you
will see the floating island. Just lower yourself down and land
on the island. This can also be done by activating the "Triple
Moon physics" code.
Glitch: Skate Heaven: Skate under level
Enable the "Triple moon physics" code. Go
straight and make a left when you see what looks like a choppy
half pipe and jump off. You will fly off for awhile and land on
nothing. You can look though the ground and only your shadows
remains. You can skate underneath the level -- when you look up
you can see it.
Glitch:Skate Street Ventura: Black area
Use the quarter pipe next to the two roll ins. Launch
and on the wood rail of the deck of the halfpipe grind until you
get to the roll in. Do a wall ride to the other side of the halfpipe.
Do not fall into the halfpipe. Jump from the deck. You will be
in front of two quarter pipes connected by a rail. Launch up onto
the railing above and grind into the black area. Do manual and
tricks.
Glitch: Skate Street Ventura: Float around
In Skate Street Ventura (competition mode), go straight
ahead to the "big wave". Do a grind, but try to bail
out the moment you hit the grind. If done correctly, your skater
will fall and slide on their stomach around the park.
Glitch: Venice Beach: Fall in water
Enable the "Flight mode" code and fly around
the sand until a beach is found. Then, fall in the beach water.
The game will freeze and you will have to reset to continue.
Glitch: Stop on spikes
Enable the "Flight mode" code and build a
park with some spikes. Fly right into the wall and fall off your
board. Fly up over the spikes and fall. When you are about to
crash, hover and fly up again.
Glitch:Create a park mode
Build a bowl of any shape. Try to make your skater
fall and land on his stomach. If your skater kicks the skateboard
out then when he does this and hits the ground very hard, he will
fall on his chest and just slide around the bowl forever. You
must restart the game to continue.
Glitch: Float around bowl
Grind around the rim of a bowl until you fall into
it. Your character should float around the bowl. You have to restart
the level to get him/her to stop.
Glitch: Twisting while falling
Go up somewhere high and do a trick or grind off something.
Fall while you are high in the air, then press [L1], [L2],
[R1], or [R2] to spin.
Glitch:Disappearing skater
Enable the "Unlimited time" GameShark code
and try to do a grind. At times your skater will disappear and
reappear and have other glitches. Note: This has no effect on
the game.
Glitch: Upside-down skater
Select any skater with the Indy Backflip and enable
the "Perfect balance" and "Full stats" codes.
Get to where you can do a special on the ground (not a ramp) and
can pull it off without falling. Do an Indy Backflip on the ground
(not off of a ramp), then immediately jump up and do anything
in the air and you will be upside down.
Enable the "Flight mode" code. Do a wall ride, then
bail. Press [Triangle] just when you bail and your skater
should be floating upside down.
Glitch: Reversed logo
Select Tony Hawk, then pick Style "B". Begin
game play and note the Quiksilver logo on his back. When he rides
fakie, the logo is backwards, but when you turn back around normally,
the logo is fine once more.
Glitch: Fly in the air
Enable the "Moon physics", "Perfect
balance", and "Skip to restart" codes. Go to a
course between a quarter pipe and the gate (quarter pipe attached
to wall). Do a Kiss The Rail on the edge exactly and you get stuck
but can still do tricks. After doing tricks you will eventually
lose your skateboard. Use the D-Pad or "Analog-stick"
to move, and then the gate will disappear and it will appear that
you are flying. Use the "Skip to restart" to escape.
Note: This will not work all of the time.
Rarely, if you start the game and then hold [X] you can float
in the air without touching the ground. Sometimes it will just
let you Ollie a lot farther than usual.
Glitch Fly without board
Enable the "Flight mode" code. Go to any
level with any skater. Fall on a ramp and just before you hit
the ground, rapidly press [X]. When your character stops
going up, you may lift and drop as desired.
Enable the "Flight mode" code. Fly up in the air and
hover. Then, fly face first into a building. By doing this, you
will lose your board and flip upside down. Keep holding [Triangle]
and as you press [Up], you will be floating in mid-air without
a board. Note: You can not get money when you are flying around
like this.
Glitch: Fly while dead
Enable the "Flight mode" code, then execute
a trick. Just when you are about to fall, hold [X] and you
will fly in a limp position. Release [X] to drop the skater
back to the ground.
Enable the "Flight mode" code. Hit a wall while flying.
Your skater should falls off the board and die. However, you can
fly his dead body until he hits the ground and gets back on his
board.
Glitch: Unlimited ollie
Enable the "Flight mode" code and go up as
far as possible. Keep pressing [L1] and hold [Left]
or [Right]. If done correctly, you will be able to pull off
lots of ollies
Glitch: Incomplete Indy Frontflip or Backflip
Enable the "Kid mode" and "Always special"
codes. Give any custom skater the Indy Frontflip or Backflip.
Then. do one off the ground, but make sure your skater is close
to the ground and he will not finish the trick. Immediately Ollie
and depending on how long your skater has taken and how much of
the initial Fronflip he did, he will complete the rest of the
flip. This is the only way to get a "real" 360 Frontflip
or Backflip.
Glitch: Swim underwater
